Hi, I’m Ryan Levy. I graduated from the University of Virginia in May 2026.

I started Hoo You Know in October 2024 as an aspiring software company to help students store networking contacts.

In February 2025, I felt it more opportunistic to educate, through a weekly newsletter, on the concept of networking. The misunderstanding of all that comes with “career success”, especially topics regarding relationships, was an interesting problem space to me.

Proudly a member of those that misunderstood, I leaned on accounts from upper classmen on their post-graduate preparation to inform the content.

I learned that relationships are the most important part of anyone’s career. I set out to show that, through stories of UVA alumni in all different fields. Along the way, their advice, industry insights, and anecdotes made the content of the newsletter interesting and engaging.

I’ve loved building Hoo You Know, and I continue to grow it each week.
